Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma consists of two elements: plasma, or the liquid portion of blood, and platelets, a type of blood cell that plays an important role in healing throughout the body. Platelets are well-known for their clotting abilities, but they also contain growth factors that can trigger cell reproduction and stimulate tissue regeneration or healing in the treated area.
To create PRP, clinicians take a blood sample from the patient and place it into a centrifuge that rapidly spins the sample, separating out the other components of the blood from the platelets and concentrating them within the plasma.
PRP is used at Tahoe Injectables in Microneedling with PRP (aka “Vampire Facial”) as well as for hair loss. PRP can also be used in the undereye area to help with discoloration and hollowness.
PPR Treatments for Hair Loss:
PRP has been shown to have some benefit with helping with androgenic hair loss. Therapy typically consists of at least three treatments every 4–6 weeks, with maintenance treatments every 4–6 months. Results are typically noticeable by month 6. Research shows best results with combined with topical or oral treatments.
PRP for Under-Eyes:
PRP is used to help with signs of undereye aging, such as hollowness, darkness, fine lines and helps to increase collagen production and overall improving skin quality. Treatments are typically performed in 3 sessions 1 month apart.
